What age can our dancer start dancing?

At Dawn's Dance Studio, we believe that it's never too early to start exploring the beautiful world of dance. When can I register my dancer for summer classes?

When does the 2023-2024 Season start?

Our new season is starting in August at Dawn's Dance Studio, registration is open now for 2023-2024 Season classes. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or have always dreamt of hitting the dance floor, we have various styles of classes available for all ages. Please refer to the NEW SEASON SCHEDULE which will have days and times with the break down for each age group to register for classes.

Is there a drop fee after registration for classes?

At Dawn's Dance Studio, there is a drop fee of $45 per student for those who want to be removed from their registered classes. One months notice is required to not be charged the full tuition for the next month, however all existing balances and payments must be completed previous to dropping all classes. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and students may need to withdraw during the year. However, dropping out in the middle of the season can disrupt the overall flow of the class, affect choreography, and hinder the progress of both the individual student and the group as a whole. Please communicate with the instructor of the class and office manager prior to dropping the class.

What is Jazz of Yuma? How can you become a company dancer?

Jazz of Yuma is an exceptional non-profit organization that has established itself as a premier dance company in our community. With their unwavering passion for dance, they captivate audiences throughout the year with their inspiring performances and shows. More than just a dance company, they actively participate in a variety of community events, using their talents to uplift and inspire others. Their dedication to their craft and commitment to giving back make them an invaluable asset to our city. 1st round of Auditions are held in May to prepare our company for the next season. 2nd round of auditions will be in August 2023 (TBD). Company dancers start at the age of 5 and varies to any age as long as the dancer is a full time student.

Do you have a Competitive team?

Our prestigious Competition Team is an incredible opportunity to showcase your talent and grow as a dancer. An audition is required to become a member of the competition team, however dancers must be an existing company dancer in Jazz of Yuma. This ensures that we assemble a team of dedicated and passionate individuals who are committed to excellence. As a member of the Competition Team, you will commit to extra rehearsals and fees to cover for additional dances, but you will benefit from having the chance to perform at various competitions and events that will push you to new heights. The commitment extends beyond the local studio, as you may be required to travel to different locations, gaining exposure and further enhancing your dance experience.
